The New York City-based Dream Quartet is made up of founding members Malachi Brown, Dwayne Beach, Elizabeth Hendy, and Maggy Simon. The multi-genre quartet was built on the desire to invent, curiosity to experiment, and passion to collaborate. True to their name, they are dreamers at heart, dedicated to sharing their music and art with the world. The quartet often incorporates singing and movement into its performances, bringing a dynamic and multidimensional energy to the stage. The members thrive on improvisation and composing in various genres, including folk, R&B, pop, disco, and contemporary music. Notable venues include National Sawdust, The Morgan Library, Brooklyn Public Libraries, and House of Yes. The Dream Quartet has collaborated with artists from diverse genres, including Yasmin Williams, The Breaks Inc., La Lulu, Princess Lockeroo, and the Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra.

Maggy Simon is a passionate violinist, educator, songwriter, and collaborator based in Brooklyn, New York. Her notable performances include appearances with NPR’s Tiny Desk, Broadway Sings, the Philadelphia Pops Orchestra, Palaver Strings, the Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, and Playbill’s Songwriter Series. She has had the honor of playing at venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center, the Kimmel Center, 54 Below, the Apollo Theatre, and the White House. In addition to her performance career, she is a Middle School Orchestra Teacher at Grace Church School, and has a private studio of Violin, Viola, and Piano students. She earned her Master’s Degree in Violin Performance from Carnegie Mellon University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and Violin Performance from Temple University.

Elizabeth Hendy is a British-Chinese-Malaysian violinist and multidisciplinary creative spirit. She was born in the UK, raised in New Jersey, and is now based in Brooklyn, NY. She received her musical training at The Juilliard School Pre-College Division and McGill University: Past professors include Juilliard Dean Emeritus Stephen Clapp, Dr. I-Hao Lee, and Andrew Wan. She has had the pleasure of performing at Carnegie Hall, Count Basie Theatre, the Apollo Theater, Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall, 54 Below, and the UN Headquarters. Elizabeth is also a theatre and film actor. She was trained at the UCVTS Academy for Performing Arts and has starred in major roles for community/regional productions of musicals including Godspell, A Christmas Carol, and Bonnie and Clyde. As a child actor, she was discovered at a Nickelodeon open-call and featured in a commercial with Will Smith and Cameron Diaz for the Kids Choice Awards.

Dwayne Beach is a New York City–born American-Belizean interdisciplinary artist whose work as a violist, violinist, singer-songwriter, and dancer bridges classical musicianship and contemporary performance. He has toured internationally with Avatar: The Last Airbender Live (2024), served as concertmaster for the Grammy-winning Jagged Little Pill Broadway tour (2022–2024), performed with the Sarajevski Filharmonije in Bosnia, the musical My Son's A Queer! by Rob Madge, and appeared with Trio Chaotico aboard Holland America cruises through the Arctic & Pacific lands. His collaborations with the Maria Torres Dance Company and choreographers Wayne Daniel, Princess Lockeroo, and Ronny Dutra highlight his fusion of music and movement, most notably in False Steps! A Musical Comedy, and in his choreography for Jacob Pillow Festival. Beach has released the solo EP Shoo False Love, I Fear Not! and, with his duo The F-Tones, the acclaimed album Sketches. He was also featured in a Hustle dance documentary for the Jerome Robbins Dance Archives at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.

Malachi Brown is a versatile cellist and composer hailing from Norfolk, Virginia, where his musical journey began. He honed his craft in music composition and cello performance at Old Dominion University and Ithaca College. A fervent advocate for interdisciplinary collaboration, Malachi eagerly embraces projects where he can imprint his unique artistic voice. His compositions have graced the concert stage, animated features, and films, all unified by a distinct neo-romantic sensibility. As Malachi puts it, “My goal is to write exactly what I hear in my head, and it’s quite a journey every time.” 2023 was a landmark year for his performance career. He shared stages with Toshi Reagon, Sigur Rós, and Ellie Goulding, and collaborated with organizations such as Sound-Off: Music for Bail and Protestra. A major highlight was his Lincoln Center debut, performing alongside Toshi Reagon in the acclaimed rock-opera The Parable of the Sower. Other engagements include The Sound of Music with the Mac-Haydn Theatre, an East Coast tour with the Wordless Music Orchestra, and two evenings with Ellie Goulding at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre. Malachi’s work as a film composer has earned significant recognition. And Don’t Forget I Love You received multiple festival honors, while his recent score for The Candy Lady marked its international debut in 2024. He currently resides in New York City, where he continues to expand his multifaceted artistic career.
